Regenerate
Systems made from recycled WPC 100%
RIGENERA is Woodn Greenwood’s latest contribution to increasingly sustainable architecture. A collection of profiles and systems made from recycled composite wood, manufactured using 100% secondary raw materials. Thanks to the recycling of end-of-life WPC decking boards, RIGENERA guarantees high performance in both outdoor and indoor environments. Versatile and durable, these systems are perfect for decking, sunshades, wall cladding, ceilings, and suspended ceilings. A blend of design, ecology, and functionality that transforms any space into an elegant, modern, and efficient environment.
REGENERATION CYCLE
Circular Economy and Resource Reuse
Woodn Greenwood has developed an innovative production process that respects the principles of the circular economy. Water and energy autonomy further contribute to containing the environmental impact in the production of RIGENERA systems.
The entire daily energy requirement of the industrial plant is covered by photovoltaic panels, spread over an area of 3,000 sq m and producing 311,000 kWh per year.
The water used for cooling the RIGENERA cycle extrusion lines is meticulously managed by a new-generation closed-loop system, which collects and reintroduces it into production, eliminating all waste.
WPC chip regeneration
Periodically Woodn Greenwood recovers process materials and collects end-of-life profiles; it cleans them, sorts them by color, and transforms them into new WPC.
The company has internally designed and exclusively manufactured a double-grinding plant for WPC recycling: in the first stage, end-of-life profiles are coarsely shredded, while in the second stage, the materials are pulverized for reuse.
Finally, the regenerated grain is extruded in two dedicated lines for the Rigenera cycle, to create profiles and systems for indoor and outdoor applications, with technical and aesthetic performance equivalent to virgin WPC.
PROJECT FINANCED WITH THE VENETO ERDF 2021-2027 OPERATIONAL PROGRAM
The Rigenera project originates from the possibility of reintroducing non-conforming extruded products into the production chain.
The project is funded by the ERDF 2021-2027.
