ENERGY REQUIREMENT AND WATER CYCLE
The production facility, located in Treviso and spread over an area of approximately 14,000 square meters, is powered by a photovoltaic system that meets 100% of the daytime energy demand.
3,000 square meters have been utilized with the installation of photovoltaic panels for an annual production of approximately 311,000 kWh.
The water used for cooling the 9 extrusion lines is managed by a next-generation closed-loop system. The water is thus collected and reintroduced into the cooling systems. Only once a year is the water purified and replaced to avoid any waste.
Woodn Greenwood profiles are completely recyclable and can be transformed back into WPC to create new profiles and systems for the RIGENERA collection.
Through custom-built machinery for the company, the material is first sorted by color, then fed into a shredder that grinds and pulverizes it to a mesh suitable for reintroduction into the production process.
It's about closing a virtuous cycle that testifies to the company's commitment to achieving a true Circular economy.
Thus is born REGENERATE, a collection of profiles and systems made from recycled composite wood, manufactured 100% using secondary raw materials, thanks to the recovery of WPC from end-of-life slats.
The life cycle analysis was also completed in 2024Life Cycle Assessment – Life Cycle Assessment), a fundamental tool for the implementation of an integrated product policy, with a resulting environmental product declaration (Extended Play Device – Environmental Product Declaration) and emission of Dull Minimum Environmental Criteria.
