What are sunshades used for?
WPC wooden sunshades are shading systems that, when applied to windows or entire facades, shield the building from solar rays, moderating temperature increases inside the structure and thus improving its energy performance.
Where to place sunshades?
Sunshades should be applied particularly to walls that are most exposed to the sun and UV rays.
How long do WPC louvers take to fade?
Thanks to the protective action of PVC, the use of certified pigments, and brushed or grooved opaque finishes, the color of profiles exposed to UV rays experiences minimal degradation upon first exposure, after which it stabilizes. Specifically, no significant color changes are recorded after 5 years.
How often should the sunshades be cleaned?
Versatilis WPC wood sunshades require minimal maintenance. After the initial application, cleaning with high-pressure water below 80 bar is sufficient. The aesthetic appeal remains unchanged over time. In any case, within the’Technical Area A brief manual for the maintenance and handling of the slats is available.
What are the advantages of WPC compared to wood?
WPC is self-extinguishing, resistant to fire and weather. Furthermore, wood-polymer composite does not require protective painting, does not crack or splinter, is resistant to woodworm and mold, and is supplied with custom lengths to the millimeter.
What is the impact of WPC production on the planet?
WPC composite wood is 100% recyclable and is made from wood flour, which—in the case of Woodn Greenwood products—is FCP-certified® a short supply chain. All waste material is transformed by us into new raw material, which we reuse for the production of new profiles: this is how WPC composite wood combats global deforestation.
