What is a suspended ceiling used for?
By creating an air chamber between the surfaces, a WPC wood suspended ceiling enhances the thermal and acoustic insulation of a room, in addition to meeting various aesthetic needs: it can hide electrical systems or various ducting, it serves as a support structure for particularly decorative lighting fixtures, or it shields old and damaged ceilings.
What is the ideal height for a suspended ceiling?
There are no limits for an outdoor suspended ceiling, unlike interior suspended ceilings, whose height is regulated by the Ministerial Decree of 7/5/1975. In rooms used for housing, the minimum height must be 2.40 m in corridors, bathrooms, and hallways, and 2.70 m for all other areas. In mountain municipalities at 1000 m above sea level, a minimum height of 2.55 m is permitted in habitable rooms by way of exception.
Do WPC suspended ceilings fade in UV rays?
Thanks to’protective action of PVC, the use of certified pigments, and the brushed or streaked matte finishes, the color of profiles exposed to UV rays experiences minimal degradation upon initial exposure, after which it stabilizes. Specifically, no significant shade changes are recorded after 5 years.
How often should the slats of the suspended ceiling be cleaned?
The Modulatus WPC wood suspended ceilings require minimal maintenance. After the first application, cleaning with high-pressure water below 80 bar is sufficient. What are the advantages of WPC compared to wood?
WPC is self-extinguishing and resistant to fire and weather. Furthermore, the wood-polymer composite does not require protective painting, does not crack or splinter, is resistant to woodworm and mold, and each plank is supplied with custom length to the millimeter.
What is the impact of WPC production on the planet?
WPC composite wood is 100% recyclable and is made from wood flour, which—in the case of Woodn Greenwood products—is FCP-certified® A short supply chain. All waste material is transformed by us into new raw materials, which we reuse for the production of new profiles: this is how WPC composite wood combats global deforestation.
