Do saltwater or chlorine damage Woodn Greenwood WPC flooring?
No. Chlorine and seawater do not alter the technical and aesthetic characteristics of Woodn Greenwood decking boards.
Can outdoor decking be laid directly on the ground?
No. Woodn Greenwood decking boards come with metal substructure profiles, which are to be laid on the ground. The boards are then to be fastened to the joists and secured with the provided steel clips. For correct decking installation, please consult the fastening instructions found in the’Technical Area.
Do WPC deck boards need to be painted or oiled?
No. The brushed finish and the polymer component ensure that the original aesthetic of the lath is maintained for a long time after the first application, as certified by periodic accelerated aging tests of the color with intensive UV exposure.
How often should deck planks be cleaned?
GREENWOOD WPC flooring requires minimal maintenance. After the initial installation, cleaning with high-pressure water below 80 bar is sufficient. The aesthetic appearance remains unchanged over time. In any case, during the’Technical Area A brief manual for the maintenance and handling of the slats is available.
What are the advantages of WPC compared to wood?
WPC is self-extinguishing and resistant to fire and weather. Furthermore, the wood-polymer composite does not require protective painting, does not crack or splinter, is resistant to woodworm and mold, and each plank is supplied with custom length to the millimeter.

WPC composite wood is 100% recyclable and is made from wood flour, which—in the case of Woodn Greenwood products—is FCP-certified® A short supply chain. All waste material is transformed by us into new raw materials, which we reuse for the production of new profiles: this is how WPC composite wood combats global deforestation.
