What is the difference between exterior cladding and a ventilated facade?
Unlike external cladding, in a ventilated facade system, the panels are slightly spaced from the walls, mounted on a metal substructure. This way, the air gap formed between the wall and the cladding allows for natural air circulation to improve the building's thermal-energetic performance, keeping it protected from external humidity and heat. Do WPC claddings fade with UV rays?
Thanks to’protective action of PVC, the use of certified pigments, and the brushed or streaked matte finishes, the color of profiles exposed to UV rays experiences minimal degradation upon initial exposure, after which it stabilizes. Specifically, no significant shade changes are recorded after 5 years.
How is the exterior siding cleaned?
WPC wood cladding requires minimal maintenance. After the initial installation, cleaning with a high-pressure washer below 80 bar is sufficient. The aesthetic appearance remains unchanged over time. What are the advantages of WPC compared to wood?
WPC is self-extinguishing and resistant to fire and weather. Furthermore, the wood-polymer composite does not require protective painting, does not crack or splinter, is resistant to woodworm and mold, and each plank is supplied with custom length to the millimeter.
